To Rothschild, enclosing statement of Tunney's costs 217.4.10 stg., of which the Museum Committee paid 50 pounds.  The balance of 122.13.0 stg. will be spent on the wagon, harness, horses and stores for the trip to the Alligator R. Tunney drives 1100 miles cross country which has not been shot over, being in the tropics and well-watered, he will get many more specimens in the time than in the barren dry coast. Hope specimens sent as per list will be of interest. Tunney will by now have exhausted the 40 pounds allowance he had and he will lay in stores for many months and pay for some white men to accompany him on this expedition which will be very hazardous, I trust he will escape attack. Please send remittance. It was fortunate Tunney did not go with the Kimberley Exploring Party as it was a scientific failure owing to the surveyor in charge.  Includes list of specimens sent, including an emu from Point Cloates.
