Geraldton region, Hill approx. N of 5 Mile Hill approx ESE of Nanson (6 miles); Succineid shell; ferns; insects (bugs & beetles; small millipedes
Nabawa, bush on hill on W side of road WNW of Cemetary; dead bothriembryon (4 alive), dead succineid, large blue-black spider.

Beach at Drummond's Cove; donacid valves; log with goose neck barnacles & crabs.
Goss Passage side of Beacon Island; Blue-ring octopus, ? Ostrea folium.

Notes on blue ringed octopus behaviour. Descriptions of specimens: Nudibranch; found yesterday - intertidal, pale orange with bright orange tubercles & tail tip & medium orange gills  & rhinophore. Siphonarian; pale translucent cream with opaque white spots & dark grey axial streaks, often broken on sides of foot & on head - mantle not pigmented - translucent cream. 
Nudibranch dorid; Body coveed with numerous long papillae each with side branches to produce furred appearance - body mud brown, foot darker grey-brown with same type of papillae. Tops of papillae c white opaque granules - occasional papillae - spaced out regularly are also coloured with opaque cream some distance proximal to lips, brown gill filaments also lipped with white.
Knobs at tips of rhinophores are bare of filments & are white. Filaments just proximal to bare lips are white c brown spots, lower ones are plain brown. Collecting on [Beacon?] Island; C. cuccullata; E point on SE side of island. Intertidal siphonarians & ellobiids, M. lutens at HWL. Small white & black speckled oysters & larger white oysters intertidally & sublittoraly - are those both the same species of Hyotissa? Both specimens described.

East Wallabi Island; S. cuccullata, Amphibalus, Caulocystis uvifera, Oystophora, Sargassum, Padina, Zonaria, Dictyospaeria favulosa, Haliotis elegans, Tectus obeliscus, ?Melampus [?], Trochids (Calliostoma), ascidians, oligochaetes, various land pupoids.

Collecting on Long Island.
Pond 3 (near stakes[?] near centre of island); Bembicium & Austrocochlea, small gastropod - perhaps Truncatellid - perhaps like elongate Tatea.
No2 Pond; Lasaea rubra, ellobiids - dark brown c. bands, some [ellobiids?] - smal & grey c darker [?], few chitons - small.
Return to Pond 3; dark brown banded ellobiids, slugs, few Lasaea.
On W side of Long Island bear Pond no2; Melampus, dead & alive ellobiids, dead & alive small horn[?]-coloured gastropods.
No 1 Pond; Bembicium, Amibocochlea[?], isopods, anemones, ellobiids, small horn coloured gastropods, Lasaea, some fish, some crabs.
Dived at Goss Passage from S end of Long Island; Hyotissa, Ostrea falium, Sargassum.
