Tom Roberts’s Picture.—In accordance with the original arrangement, Mr.
Tom Roberts’s painting representing the Opening of the First Parliament,
was to have been withdrawn from public exhibition last evening. The
Premier has arranged, however, for the work to be on view during the hours
previously notified until 5 p.m. on Sunday next, April 1. As the picture
will be re-packed on the following day, and immediately despatched to His
Majesty the King, those who have not yet seen the painting should seize
the last few opportunities of doing so.
