Letter is responding positively to request of 9th May for specimens of Kangaroo mice. Writer irregularly sights the marsupial mouse both in the raisin field and storage shed, occasionally poisoning them with phosphorised wheat or trapping them. He describes
them as similar in appearance to a house mouse but with a pouch and slightly longer hind legs, bare of fur where they strike the ground, and shorter front legs. Their movement is like that of a kangaroo.
