P. 2. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Derby (partially legible) : payment of 17 pounds expenses, regrets that Tunney has been ill, mentions birds for the zoo. Requests (illegible) specimens in spirits. Sends camera and requests photographs of a list of subjects (illegible - possibly native costume, full face mask, corroboree, ceremony?), suggests equipment or assistance for the photography may be sourced locally. Good number of kangaroo skins received in last box, wishes of continued success.

P. 4. Letter from Woodward to Tunney : request for voucher for horses purchased at Derby as properly stamped receipts for all amounts are required by Auditor General. Suggests Tunney may employ photographic assistance as required. 12 pounds salary paid.

P. 50 Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Derby (partially legible) : receipt of telegram and letter, request for anything worth trading. Committee requests Tunney goes to Lake (illegible) to complete the Southern District, request for an eagle hawk and other specimens. Mentions the sale of a buggy, salary of 12 pounds paid into WA Bank.

P. 60. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Derby : salary of 12 pounds paid in to WA Bank, hopes soon to receive photographs, offers additional plates if required.

P. 98. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Derby : cases received in good condition, (illegible) and spirits despatched by the Albany. Salary and expenses totalling 25 pounds 5.3 paid into WA Bank.

P. 115. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Broome : telegram, letter and boxes of plates and skins received. Items requested forwarded by steamer. Requests Tunney wires when he intends to be in Perth, emphasises he need not return until the work is completed, but Woodward wishes to know in order to make plans. Requests more (pelboa?) wallabies, finches appreciated by the zoo.

P. 120. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Broome : letter from 31st received, negatives are all over-exposed, suggests an instantaneous shutter. Requests photographs of women as well as men, as many plates as possible, and locks of hair. Supports Tunney's decision to collect at the islands on the way down. Post script mentions that previous to writing only prints of men had been produced, but since has noted that there are images of women also.

P. 130. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Broome (partially legible)  : payment of 19 pounds into WA Bank. (Illegible) and parcels sent as requested, second box of photographs arrived but not yet printed. Woodward supposes someone from the zoo has written re the birds. Copies of good and spoilt photos sent as examples, requests that the subjects stand with their heads well up, and photos are as large as possible. Requests for special photos of tribal markings and mutilations.

P. 133. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Broome : case per Albany containing photographic apparatus etc valued 5 pounds 10s.

P. 140. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Broome : letter with expenses and receipts to hand. Request that expenses for the zoo are sent to Woodward not to the zoo. Glad to hear negatives and mice are en route, the box that missed the last steamer will be sent on SS Albany, anticipates seeing Tunney at end of February.

P. 154. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Carnarvon re : spirits and plaster on way by the "Karrakatta" sailing 26/1/1899. Several mice and lots of birds received from Mr Tom Carter of Point Cloates.

P. 155. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Carnarvon : requests two pairs of full grown emus, two young and half a dozen just hatched.

P. 184. Letter from Woodward to Tunney : request for three pairs of magpies, carefully marked for sex and each pair kept separate, also a couple of (robins?) of each sex and a few (ptiloris sonora?) If you get anything you think the zoo might like send a collect telegram to Mr Le Souef and he will wire price he can offer.

P. 220. Letter from Woodward to Tunney (partially legible) : hopes that photo boxes arrived safely, do not forget locks of hair of aborigines. The (ornithopres murina?) is new to the collection as is the (charopus castanotes?) that you sent in spirits. Request for as many mice as possible. Regrets re Tunney's accident, mentions Lake Darlot?
