P. 27. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Broome : request for acknowledgement of 12 pounds
paid into W.A. Bank on 30.6.1896 and 11 pounds 18.3 on 8.7.1897.
Although Woodward expected several parcels at Fremantle the only one there was the Carnarvon one. (Left margin contains a list: 2 cases / 1 package / 1 jar / by one (illegible) / 3 cases by / another vessel ? )
Request for Dugong specimens from N.W. coast, and pigmy geese, lyre birds, bower birds from the Kimberley, including nests and eggs. Woodward mentions enquiring about a rifle.

P. 52. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Derby :
12 pounds salary for August and 6 pounds 18 expenses paid into W.A. Bank. Request for a receipt. The gun has not yet arrived in Perth. The large sponge, jar and 2 boxes from Sharks Bay have arrived, also boxes from Broome. Glad of recent success, birds received in excellent order, queries whether Tunney requires more traps as some have just arrived from England. Instructs Tunney to keep a good look out for the smallest birds and mammals.

P. 151. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Derby : acknowledging receipt of Tunney's letter of 22.8.1896 and informing Tunney his employment as Collector will continue indefinitely. The Committee expects him to collect all possible specimens in the Kimberley and them continue to the Murray and Southern Districts. Requests more sea shells, wallaby and small kangaroo specimens, a complete aboriginal skeleton, birds and reptile eggs. Requests the inclusion of plenty of duplicates to exchange and congratulates Tunney on the condition of the specimens received.

P. 264. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Derby (partially legible) : acknowledgement of the arrival of a large case, request for receipts for salary and expense amounts paid. Request for dugong specimens, wishes of continued success, informs Tunney that Lipfert will be away for a few days.

P. 429. Letter from Woodward to Tunney at Augusta (partially legible) : letter from 22 May received but box has not as yet arrived. Woodward sends a jar of spirits and requests several specimens of young (illegible), black (sparrows?) and bats. Salary and expenses paid into WA Bank totaling 23 pounds 10.5, request for receipts.

P. 491. Letter from Woodward to Tunney (partially legible) : Request from the Committee that Tunney comes to Perth by 4 or 5 August. Request that Tunney picks up specimens of (illegible) in the Murray and (Pinjinals?) Districts as he passes through them on the way to Perth. Instructs Tunney to bring horses, traps and all camp fittings as it may be arranged for him to continue to Coolgardie, Kalgoorlie, Hampton Plains and Lake Darlot. 12 pounds salary paid into WA Bank.
