> P. 331. Letter to Tunney, unsigned. Regrets that Tunney has not had more luck, 12 pounds; 1 month's salary enclosed, expenses to date noted as 8 pounds 10/3. Request for specimens of small marsupials, especially mice. Directions to discuss specimen exchanges with Dr McClean at Carnarvon. Reminder when collecting shell specimens to store one example wrapped complete in paper, then in spirits and store another example with the animal removed and packed in spirits and the shell packed dry.

Request for common mouse specimens, six to a dozen of each type, mentions that many varieties of mouse are incorrectly called the common mouse in the colony. Help will be available in Beagle Bay.

Bank acknowledged and 12 pounds salary and 9 pounds 19/9 deposited. Request for specimens of all the aboriginal shells possible.

> P. 464. Letter from Woodward to Tunney : 12 pounds salary and 9 pounds 19.9 expenses paid into W.A. Bank, request for a receipt. Parcel from Broome received but not box from Carnarvon. Request for at least a dozen boodies? (burrowing bettongs) and the same quantity of white cockatoos of each kind, look out for the white goshawk. Any marsupials out of the pouches store in spirit and label with the same number as the skin of the mother.
