MINING NEWS.
THE CENTRAL EXTENDED GOLD MINING COMPANY.
Mr W. E. Clifton, the legal manager of the above Company informs us he has
received to bars of gold weighing 160 ozs. 15 dwts., being the result of
the first crushing of the above Company from 104 tons of stone.
This stone was put through the Central Company's battery and the gold is
now on view in Mr V. E. Nesbit's window, Hay-St.
In reference to the above, Mr W. E. Clifton, manager of the Central and
Central Extended G.M. companies, writes to us to draw attention to the
erroneous statement whict [sic] Tuesday's WEST AUSTRALIAN, that the
crushing there reported was from the Central and not, as was really the
case, from the Central Extended. The information published by us was from
a thoroughly reliable source, though not received from the Central
Extended office, and there is reason to believe that the omission of the
word "Extended" was quite accidental in our correspondent's paragraph.
But it is much to be regretted that it occurred.
