Glauert replies to Mr. Stewart's correspondence of 17 August 1936, noting the scientific name of the Quokka.
He lists it as Macropus (Setonitis) [sic] brachyurus.
The Western Australian Museum Catalog lists it as Setonix brachyurus.
Glauert is unable to help Stewart with a publication listing both common and zoological names for Australian marsupials saying none exists.
Glauert offers instead to send a list of Western Australian forms with their popular names adopted in the Museum, which he says are increasingly extending into common law.
