Glauert replies that cat and foxes are gradually killing off all small native animals.
He notes that the Museum is keen to collect native specimans before it is too late.
Glauert offers to send a container with preservative into which Purser could drop the animals collected by his cat.
Glauert confirms the identity of the Doormouse Oppossum described by Purser, noting it is also called a Mundarda (Cercartetus concinnus)
