Mr. W. Dean, c/o Fearn's Store, Witchcliffe WA, writes again to Glauert describing what he believes are the eggs of a "racehorse goanna" discovered in an ant hill by his friend.
Dean notes that when an egg was opened the embryo was fully formed, including the claws.
The yolk sac was as long as the egg and more than half as wide.
The embryo was 9.5 inches long.
Dean comments that it was unsual to find it at that time of the year as it was long past the usual breeding season.
