Glauert writes to Marjorie South, State School, Springfield via Pemberton WA, acknowledging her letter thanking him for a book and photos he had sent her.
Glauert notes that Marjorie South's children had promised to try and collect swamp rats (Rattus lutreolus) for the Museum.
He may possibly have been referring to water rats (Hydromys chrysogaster).
He notes the garass parrots he saw in Manjimup and asks her if anyone has managed to keep one as a pet.
