P. 13 letter from Woodward to Carter at Albany re: thanks for letters 31 Dec and 5 Jan, pleased that Carter has returned to W.A., thanks for handing two A. gigantura specimens to Mathews, no way to identify gizzard contents of petrel sent by Carter, noted no duty on natural history specimens however "skins for commercial purposes are a different thing", hope for success with collecting, both Mathews and Woodward will pay well for Atrichlornis skins, thanks for promise of C. montanelius eggs, pleasure to send Carter some arsenical soap.

P.22 letter from Woodward to Carter (no address) re: thanks for letter of 12th, glad to learn arsenical soap arrived, can't locate the last shooting license and request the old one so Woodward will know what to do.
