Abstract:
Glauert is thanking Professor Davidson for his paper on Australian String Figures.

Following is a discussion about a number of puzzling ground stone axes. The Government Geologist offered to have micro sections examined which proved that two of the axes were made from local stone with the third being unidentifiable, leading Glauert to believe that the axes were made locally or reached the area as a result of barter.

The rearrangement of the Ethnological Gallery is almost complete. Mr Pitt Morison has decorated the room with a frieze which is four feet wide, illustrating the daily life of aboriginals. Typical objects occupy the space above and almost to the ceiling. As a result, the details of workmanship of these items cannot be properly studied but that students will find plenty of material available in the basememt study collection.
