Letter from Keeper of Biology to R.L. Thomas, Pingelly.The first snake you sent is a slow worm or limbless lizard (Delma fraseri) and inoffensive.The snake you referred to in your letter is probably a Ringed Snake (Rhynchelaps bertholdi) which is a poisonous
species but unlikely to do damage to a man because of its small mouth size.I cannot be sure without seeing the specimen.
