Glauert replies to correspondence of 11 November 1936 from Mr. E. Richardson, Head Teacher, State School, Red Lake, identifying his specimen as one of the ephemeral Crustacea, also known as a "Fairy Shrimp."
Glauert notes there are several species in Western Australia so no further identification can be given without seeing the actual specimen.
Glauert notes that although these Crustacea are very primitive creatures their specialisation has provided them with a very wide distribution.
