Glauert returns Matthews' correspondence of 28 February 1936 with answers to his enquiries about snakes and a beetle.
Glauert says one of the snakes is a five ringed snake or Demansia modesta.
The second snake is probably a Blind snake or Worm snake, Typhlops sp.
The black beetle described is likely a Click beetle.
Glauert offers to send a killing bottle if the schoolchildren would like to collect beetles and send them to the Museum.
