A handwritten letter from Glauert to Russell acknowledging his offering of Aboriginal specimens to the museum.
Russell had offered (A13-73-1-119) to help Glauert "... in any way that lies in my power," with Glauert responding that further specimens would be of interest covering the following 6 areas:
1. Sticks used for making fire
2. Implements used in the manufacture of spears, shields and clubs
3. Message sticks
4. Charms of any kind
5. Objects of personal adornment such as nose sticks, tufts of feathers and fur
6. Stone knives used for making scars, usually referred to as "tribal marks," and also for circumcisions
This handwritten letter has then been typed (A13-73-1-121) over a page listing the "Wounded" from the 16th. Australian Battalion.
