Notes:
Letter from Dobson describes how he has taken various measurements of 'natives', including their height, length of their feet and the width of their palms, nose and eye centres.
The letter also attempts to guess when measuring the ages of the local Aboriginal population and whether the men are circumcised.
The letter also makes reference to noting any 'deformity (natural) amongst our locals.'
Dobson also attempts to record the usage of 'native' words and to provide phonetic approximations in English.
Dobson also refers to a camera whereby pictures taken of local Aboriginal people are then used as picture cards to be purchased by an 'amiable public.'
