Mr. Hay refers to the Curator's memo of 26th [?] and clears up a misunderstanding regarding a specimen of fish left with Mr. Rockliffe (principal attendant) after hours. The fish was left for identification and was not a donation

to the museum. Mr. Hay will return for the specimen in a few days and intends to send it to the eastern states for identification if the specimen is not identified by the WA Museum....

J. Tankard of the A.W.V office in Northam is writing to E.H Barker of Trade Hall in Perth with a donation to the museum of a boomerang collected in 1922 at

Myroodah Station on the Fitrzroy River, from two "natives of the River Tribes". They came from the desert about 150 miles southeast of the station and had lived mostly on lizards and hawks. They carried as weapons the boomerangs, spears and a Nulla Nulla each. The bomerang appeared to the author to be shaped like the head of a brolga....

SIR,—I am desired by the committee to ask you to acknowledge the following

A remarkable case of reversion in a lemon, from Mr. F. F. Hill of Gingin ;
A collection of coleoptera, from Mr. R. H. Wright of Mount Barker ;
Podargus brachypturus, the [?], from Mr. Chas. H. Jenkins ;
Hulmaturus brachyu[?]us, with a young one, the Rottnest Wallaby, from Colonel Angelo
Hieracidea occidentalis, the western brown hawk, from Mr. H. F. Haylaur ;
Some crabs from Mr. Ivan Gibbs.

The committee have decided to open the Museum during August and until further notice on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays only, so as to permit of the completion of the re-arrangement of the collections with as little inconvenience as possible to visitors.

Mr. W. K. Adam, Mitchell’s hapalotis (hapalotis Mitchellii), hoary-headed grebe (podiceps nestor), two black-throated grebes (podiceps guleris) ;

Mr. Alex. Milligan, a collection of birds (10) ; trustees Australian Museum, “Memoirs of the Australian Museum,” vol. 3, on Funafuti Atoll, part VI. ;

Mr. R. F. Thornton, weathered formation from Mistake Creek, 70 miles north of Mt. Margaret ;
Mr. W. D. Campbell, common scale-footed lizard (pygopus lepidopus) ;
Mr. Alex. Paull, a collection of recent shells and fossils from Pt. Cloates and Gascoyne district ;
Mrs. R. Gale, recent shells from Margaret River ;
Mr. Henry Leishman, four sooty antechinus (antechinus fuliginous). The purchases include the following : A cast of the Moabite stone busts of Homer and Athene, and a statue of Amenophis III., from Brucciani and Co.;
A collection of mounted animals and busts of Darwin and Buffon, from Ward’s Natural History Establishment, a list of which has already been published.

The attendance at the Museum during March was 3,374, persons, of whom 1,265 went on Sunday afternoons....

Grasby is passing on a query from Mr. Rogers so that Woodward can answer directly to him. He also suggests that an article in the Mutual Help Column published in his newspaper on how to preserve specimens, may result in some interesting

A.O Neville, Chief Protector of Aborigines asks, on behalf of Dr. Haden Guest, for any link between the numbering that appears on the articles he received form the Museum and any catalogue for the same. He also mentions a

a collection of weapons from the natives near their Avon Valley Station that he has secured and which he will send to the Museum upon their receipt.
