In this DVD, Searles discusses the evolution of her recent works developed and constructed from salvaged and saved textiles, plant fibres and miscellaneous objects. Interspersed in the dialogue she recites 'A stitching of words'. Searles states, "I consider issues that often remain unnoticed, until a gentle prodding forces is to confront our cultural anomalies." Their work draws on a desire to explore the boundaries of fashion, and show that accessory can become the focus of body adornment – not just an afterthought. The work is strongly influenced by the social landscape of Western Australian life, as well as drawing on the colours and textures of the Outback. Indigenous artists collaborated with international label 'Antipodium’ to create a series of accessories infused with symbols of Australian plants and animals.The exhibition includes the work of jewellery designers Sophie Kyron and Alister Yiap, artists Maggie Baxter and Nalda Searles, and textile artists-designers Elizabeth Delfs and Eunjeong Jeon.

Sharing stories of country, childhood recollections and memories of Elders was the central theme of the studio intensive that supported the Yorgas to refine their skills and explore new craft techniques.

The Northam Yorgas’ work became Kwobadak Maar – a temporary, pop-up exhibition that occupied an empty shopfront in the main street of Northam.

The exhibition featured works by Elaine Dickie, the late Norma Garlett, Frances Gillespie, Glenda Kickett, Janet Kickett, Yvonne Kickett, Cindy Moody, Deborah Moody and Sonia Stack.
