A study of what life was like for many Aboriginal Australians in post-World War II, Western Australia. From 1946 to the early 1960s, the Coolbaroo Club was a meeting place and a focus for the West Australian Aboriginal community.

Coolbaroo was the only Aboriginal-run dance club in a city which practised unofficial apartheid, submitting Aboriginal people to police harassment, identity cards, fraternisation bans, curfews, and bureaucratic obstructions.
