The Museum Lectures.—The director of the Museum, Mr. Bernard H. Woodward,
requests us to announce that on Friday next, the 24th inst., at 8 p.m.,
Mr. S. C. Smith, B.A., will deliver a lecture on “India,” instead of Mr.
Cooke, whose lecture on “Astronomy, Old and New,” is postponed until
August 7. The ballot taken at the last lecture to ascertain the most
convenient day to the majority of those wishing to attend this course was
greatly in favour of retaining the present evening. As those who could not
attend on Fridays could not record their votes, it was suggested that they
should be asked to send postcards to the director of the Museum, naming
the evening preferred, before a final decision is made.
