N. T. (Nick) Allen's first field notebook from a mammal survey accompanying John Bannister, Alexander Baynes, W. K. Youngson and others in Kalbarri National Park (04/01/1969-07/02/1969). Consists of diary entries of each day of
the survey from 04-22/01/1969, setting and monitoring mammal traps. Specimens trapped/logged by Allen include grey kangaroos, a variety of house mice, native rodents, bats, insects and numerous lizards. Of note on 17/01 the holotype of Ctenotus alleni was trapped.

Specimens trapped/logged by Allen include grey kangaroos, a variety of house mice, native rodents, bats, insects and numerous lizards. Of note is a comprehensive list of reptile species collected and an excellent mud map of one of the mammal trap locations.
