Notes:
Hamlyn-Harris originally wrote to Glauert on 6 March 1916 requesting any information he might have on message sticks (A13-73-1-66).
Glauert replied on 29 March 1916 (A13-73-1-69) that he was currently assessing the museum's collection of message sticks and would more fully reply to Hamlyn-Harris in the next few weeks.
Hamlyn-Harris is now reminding Glauert of this earlier correspondence and again requesting any information he may now have for a paper he is writing on the message sticks of Queensland.
Glauert replies explaining that Mr Alexander of the Biological Department is absent and he now has to also deal with his work.
Due to this extra workload he is now hoping to set aside some time in January 1917 to deal with this request.
Glauert comments on notes from Hamlyn-Harris referring to a knife mentioned by Lord Avebury in his publication 'Prehistoric Times' as most likely a 'Tabba' or 'Dabba' of South West Australia.
