Abstract:
Letter written by L R Thomas describing a peculiar stone  found on his station, Cokanarup near Ravensthorpe. In the 1880s it was the home of a large native tribe. He describes some graves of the original settlers, one named Dunn in particular who was speared and died on 20 March 1880.

He describes a smooth stone he has found, weighing 6-8lbs which has smooth saucer-like indentations on top and underneath. Questions whether it might be a grinding stone and would Arkell like it.
