Abstract:
As well as collecting and donating fossils to the WA Museum, Bep Schekkerman collected shells at Trigg Beach for over 10 years. The material collected was a diverse mix of tropical, subtropical and more temperate species. The beach wasn’t a lot to look at, as it was divided in two by a sandbank, yet storms and weather patterns allowed the accumulation of the variety of species over time. Two of the major influences on available species were the Roaring Forties and the Leeuwin Current. See description in Sydney Shell Club newsletter.
