Expedition led by Mr Kasijan to Indonesia, specifically the islands of Ambon, Haruka and Saparoa. Purpose of the expedition was to assist Indonesians in establishing a reference collection for new research centre as well as samples for Western Australian Museum. Fieldbook gives diary entries of collecting (detailed below) and everyday activities. from the 22/01 onwards notes detail meetings in regards to organising samples and setting up of research centre.

Collection notes follow, numbering reflects different station numbers:
06/01/73 Port Said - NW coast Palau Ambon PS1/1 - littorinids on mangroves, PS1/2 - cerithiids and columbellid-cone in mud under mangroves, PS1/3 - planascids(?), Turbo on intertidal rocks and stones, PS1/4 - dead shells on beach, mostly turbinids, Tridacna, Cypraea spp and cardiids.

Port Said, NW coast of Palau Ambon 5-10ft diving PS2/1 collection from coral, PS2/2 collection from sand. Cypraea spp., Conus spp., Terebra sp., Tridacna sp., Chlamys sp., Astraea sp., Trochus sp. (alive), turrid, Haliotis sp., Gloripallium pallium, Strombus vomer?, Pinna sp., Mitra sp.
07/01/73 Port Said, NW coast of Palau Ambon. PS4/1 - on coral 5-10ft under water, Tridacna - Cypraea tigris, Bursa, Distorsio(?), Astraea, Chlamys, Pinctada, [Coralliophila]. PS4/2 - in sand among coral 5-10ft under water, many Terebra spp., mitrids, "couple of" cones, venerids, dead Gloripallium.
PS3 - on and under volcanic rocks near shore, Acmeids, Haliotis, Nerita, Turbo, Astraea, Thaids, chitons.
Collected by Kasijan PS2/1&2 - Pinna, Cardium (2), Ovula strombus, Pinctada, Cypraea, Voluta, Trochus, Turbo.
SW1/1 - fresh water stream, Neritinas (with spines), 3 other groups of freshwater gastropods. SW1/2 - beach, various shells.
08/01/73 East of Kampou Sawatelu, East of Morela Ambon Island, MO2/1 - rock platform below HWL. Many cones. varsids, muricids (drupes?), columbellids. Many species of haliotids, turbinids, mitrids ?(small) etc. MO2/2 - from coral off rock platform, trochids, turbinids, spondylids, pectinoids etc. 
09/01/73 W. Coast of Piru Bay. Pi1/1 Collected from rock and mud flats at LWL, Posidonia & Zostera on mangroves, cowries, Spondylus, Chlamys. Pi1/2 Diving in same area, Acanthaster.
10/01/73 Kp. Liang, East of Piru Bay. Li1/1Collected from intertidal sandbanks and coral rocks. Olivas, cerithirids, Acanthaster, biscuit urchins, no cypraeids.
Li1/2 diving in water in same area. Chlamys acroporicola, Acanthaster.
11/01/73 Bay at east end of Ambon Island. Su 1/1 Collected on eel grass flats, Cypraea annulus.
15/01/73 - Collected near Naira on Haruka Is. Drupes, Varsids, Cypraea moneta, Turbo chrysostomus, lithothamnion.
17/01/73 - Collected along shore on Saparoa Island. Cardinids, strombus, Cypraea vitellus, Harpa, and blue ringed octopus.
18/01/73 - Collected near Namatatuni on Saparoa Island. Astraea sp., Trochus lineatus, I. maculatus, Chlamys spp., Gloripallium, L.[?] radula[?], C. acroporicola.
20/01/73- Collected from reef near Kulur on Saparoa Island. Terebra maculata(?), Gloripallium, Chlamys spp.
