16/09 Collecting at Ethel Beach. Specimens include Colobocentrotus, Caulerpa, opisthobranch (dark green), Lobiger(?) (2 sp), Stiliger(?) and 2 specimens of holothurian.

18/09 Collecting at West White Beach. Specimens taken, 2 cowries, Acropora sp., Coral, some cones, varsids, 1 Pectinid, 1 abalone, 1 new starfish.

21/09 Collecting at reef under "manager's house". Specimens taken; Cylichna (green and orange), bivalves, muricids, banded shrimp (brown and cream), soft coral. rock samples with Phascolosoma worms, tubeworms and a Lithophaga.

23/09 Collecting at Lily Beach. Specimens; cones-cowries, histrio, mauritiana, caputserpentis. 10 specimens of Turbo lajonkairii, 1 Rapana (Coralliophila), small Thaid[?] like muricids, weed samples, observed 5 species of echinoids.
24/09 Collecting at Flying Fish Cove. specimens taken few spp. of terebras, 2 spp. of mitra, few cones, Drupa, turbinids (Turbo lajonkairii and Astraea sp. (helicina)), 6 Latirus nodatus, Quoyula sp. (Montipora?), observed many Centrechinus (Diadema?)

27/09 Collecting at Dolly Beach, observed "slate pencil" like sea urchins, one with parasitic gastropod, collected some cowries.
28/09 Collected on beach, observed large numbers of washed up larval stage crabs.

01/10 Collecting at Flying Fish Cove. terabras amd 1 mitra, sea urchins, 2 Cypraea isabella, 1 Fissurellid (Eligidian type), large starfish, 1 clam, 3 Pectinids, 1 Hydatina, green opisthobranchs, holothurians.
02/10 Collecting as Dales. Collected Nerita costata, Nerita plicata(?), Littoraria undulata, 1 Tectarius granularis?, observed Fissurellids (Notomella type) and "true" limpets, muricids, vermetids, Isognomanids, Echinometra mathaei, Colobocentrotus, Centrostephanus, 1 Diadema.
03/10 Took barge to go diving and collecting. Location one - Japansese shipwreck near No. 1 Beach on North Coast. Collected Turbo lajonkairii, T. pethiolatus, Trochus maculetus, "small scallops etc". Location two - Lost Cave between No. 1 and No. 2 Beaches, collected bryozoa and nudibranches. Collected on West White Beach and Flying Fish Cove.

08/10 Collected via diving off Flying Fish Cove. Preserved three robber crabs in formalin.
11/10-25/10 Diary of return trip, on 18/10 collected specimens in Singapore. West Coast of Sebarok Island, collected oysters, Pteria penguin, some thaids[?], mussels. At South coast of Senang Island collected clams, Lambis, turbinids, arcids. East Coast of Sudong Island collected coral. At sandbank west of Hantu collected opisthobranch.
