and, even though he was only one commander among thousands, it places in context the individual efforts he made as part of that war. Part Two presents a wide collection of Norman's letters to his family, friends, and military officials from the beginning of the World War Two to his days in Labuan and finally during his role as Administrator on Norfolk Island.
