Glauert returns Mr. H. S. Day's correspondence of 4 October 1936 but is unable to definitively identify the birds he described.
He speculates that for the bird in Diagram 1 it is either the red-fronted robin or the red-fronted chat.
For Diagram 2 it may be a mistletoe bird or flower pecker.
Glauert suggests a ground thrush for the brown bird that is described but not sketched.
