Mr. E. J. Harrington of Miling WA, writes to the Mr. Shapcott, Director of the Zoological Gardens Perth, seeking help in identifying a strange creature, resembling a monkey, roaming around nearby bush.
Harrington says the creature was seen by his son about two months earlier and since then has been seen by another resident.
It is described as being a dirty brown colour, getting lighter at the back of its hind legs.
It has no tail and walks with an awkward waddle.
It is about 2 feet 6 inches when walking and has the appearance of having long arms.
Local residents have heard its voice as far back as 7 years ago.
