Notes:
Glauert returns Keith McKee's correspondence of 10 September 1936, identifying the snake as a banded Gwardar (Demansia nuchalis) rather than a Tiger snake.
Glauert notes that although a Tiger snake and Gwardar are both banded the banding is different.
The Gwardar has equal width light and dark bands while the light bands are much narrower on the Tiger snake.
Glauert also notes that the scales on the Gwardar form a zigzag line that is absent on the Tiger snake.
Lastly, the Tiger snake is blackish above with pale yellow cross bands, these not matching the specimen sent by McKee.
