Glauert writes to Mr. W. H. S. Myles of 115 Queen Victoria Street, Fremantle WA, identifying for him a snake he had previously described.
Glauert tells him it is the common seasnake, Pelamis platurus.
Glauert is responding to a letter from Myles of 6 August 1936 but that letter is not in the file.
The seasnake was found at Leighton Beach north of Fremantle WA.
Glauert tells Myles that this species of seasnake is the most widely distributed, ranging from Western America to East Africa, north to Japan and south to Tasmania and New Zealand.
Glauert warns that it is venemous, grows to a length of about three feet and can be fatal.
