Glauert returns Mr. J. G. Flavel's correspondence of 25 June 1936, identifying for him the local bird and marsupial mouse he was enquiring about.
Glauert describes the birds as Australian Dottrels [sic] (Peltohyas australis), an insect feeder which should not be disturbed.
He believed the mouse is undoubtedly a small marsupial mouse and asks Flavel to send him live specimens so he can fully identify them.
