11.45 am Left Perth for Albany. 5.30 pm arrived Albany. Picked up J.E.K. [J.E. King] ex Cape Don. Spent night at Marquis Motel.

8.30 am left for Esperance. 4.45 arrived Esperance. Saw MacKenzie - arranged to go out with him at 8 am on 20:2:1967, full charter rather than part charter. Met Sam Bowler at MacKenzie's home. 5.45 arrived Blumanns after having left Bill[?] with Nilse[?] at Yacht Club.

8.16 am left Esperance for Seal Rock in Recherche Archipelago with W.G.H., JEK, Nilse & Perry Blumen.
10.30 arrived Seal Rock. W.G.H. & J E K shot 3 females [HH29] [HH30] [HH31] 4 p. of physical description of shot seals. 2 dead seal pups collected, 1 partial skeleton, 1 skull, 1 scapula and humerus, 1 femur. Botanical samples taken - nothing in flower except small plant with blue flower (??). Shells collected, crabs (2spp.) coll. 2.30 left for Esperance. 7 Cape Barren Geese seen on Boxer Isl. on way home. 6 pm. Arrived Esperance - travelled to Gibson.

9am-10am. sorted material. 10.30 went to Esperance, sent skins M.M.A., 11.30 left with MacKenzie, with Nilse etc.for the Islands, very choppy sea - very wet. 2.30 arrived Seal Rock, landed. Bill shot shot male bull, no ....[?] in specimen cos of difficulty in landing gear[HH32]. Collected a number of shelches[?] etc. 4.0 Boarded boat, 7.0 Arrived Esperance.[ 2 pp. of detailed description of seals.]

Judith decided not to go out to islands as weather very windy
12.0 We drove to Cape Le Grand, walked around area, no seals sighted. Collected snails (Bothriembryon). On return trip collected Coxiellas at various salt pan & lake localities.

10. 0 am Left Gibson for Chillinup [?] Collected Coxiellas at all localities with water in creeks. 5.30 pm arrived Chillinup.

9.30 Left for Cheyne Beach to meet D. Purdue [?] Fisheries Inspector. Observed salmon fishing, collected a dead Hair Seal, looked all afternoon for live one. Rocks at end of Cheyne Beach - no luck ? two dead specimens.
5.0 pm arrived Chillinup.

7.30 am Left with Keith & Ruth Mair (& their boat) for Bremer Bay. Easterly wind.
10.30 am Went out to have a look at Glasse Is. Saw 3 Hair seals, couldn't land - seas too choppy. Most enjoyable day swimming. On return trip to Chillinup searched around Pallinup for snails. Found B. dux about 1 1/2 miles S. of Pallinup R. bridge on Albany/Jerramungup rd. No Coxiellas in Pallinup R.

10.0 left Chillinup, travelled to Perth via Albany / Denmark / Bridgetown & Berwick. 8.15 pm Arrived Perth.
